Fraternity Scholars Inspire Students at Jonesboro Elementary

Jonesboro Elementary School welcomed members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. on Oct. 9 as part of a literacy initiative aimed at inspiring young students. The fraternity members, who are Samford University Scholars, spent time reading with the elementary students. This visit provided a positive role model interaction for the children and reinforced the importance of reading and academic achievement.

Jonesboro Elementary extended its gratitude to the fraternity for donating their time and making a positive impact on the young learners. A special thank you was also given to Mr. Jerome Wiggins, Assistant Principal at Bessemer City High School, for facilitating the visit and ensuring the Samford students represented the collegiate level with pride and excellence. The collaboration highlighted a successful partnership between collegiate scholars and local education.
