Jonesboro Elementary Celebrates 67th Day of School With Scavenger Hunt

BESSEMER, Ala. — Students at Jonesboro Elementary School found a creative reason to celebrate, marking the 67th day of the academic year with a series of themed activities.

The milestone was commemorated with a "6-7" theme designed to engage the "JES Stars" in both physical and mental challenges. The highlight of the day was an all-school scavenger hunt that required students to use critical thinking skills while moving throughout the campus.

School administrators noted that the celebration served as a positive reinforcement for student attendance and daily progress.

“Our students marked the day with 6-7 themed fun, smiles all around, and an exciting scavenger hunt that got everyone moving and thinking,” school officials said. “Proud of our JES Stars for making every day count!”

The 67th-day festivities are part of the school’s broader effort to maintain high student morale throughout the fall semester. By turning numerical milestones into interactive events, the school aims to foster a joyful learning environment where students feel celebrated for their daily commitment to education.

As the academic year continues, Jonesboro Elementary remains focused on creating unique learning opportunities that blend fun with curriculum-based goals, ensuring that every day of the school year remains impactful for its students.
