J.S. Abrams Elementary Families Team Up for Interactive Math Night

BESSEMER, Ala. — J.S. Abrams Elementary School kicked off its "Numeracy November" celebration with a high-energy Math Night, bringing families together for an evening of collaborative learning.

The event was designed to strengthen the connection between home and school by showcasing how mathematics can be both accessible and entertaining. Families participated in a variety of interactive math games and hands-on activities that transformed complex concepts into engaging challenges for students of all grade levels.

In addition to the games, the school provided attendees with dinner and a collection of take-home resources. These materials were curated to help parents support their children’s numerical fluency and problem-solving skills outside the classroom.

“Thank you to all the families who showed up and made the evening so much fun,” school officials said. “It was a night full of learning, laughter and family engagement.”
